The Ohio Holstein Association has kicked off their state convention this weekend in Western Ohio.
Topping the sale at $25,000 was Lot 1, Ten-Penny Modesty Markit, the highest genomic heifer offered in an Ohio Holstein sale at +2868 GTPI. Consigned by Peter Spike of Delaware, Ohio, she was purchased by Pine-Tree Farms. The unofficial average is $2347.
Three tours were offered of farms in Western Ohio Buscher Dairy, home of Plain-Knoll Registered Holsteins; Wabash Way Holsteins and Indian Stone Holsteins. Enjoy a few shots of each!
